Product Warranty

Please directly contact the retailer who installed the Ziptrak® system in the event of any queries or warranty claims.

Ziptrak® Retailers are responsible for providing their own warranty periods and conditions to consumers that consumers should consult before purchasing a product.

The following warranty applies exclusively to Ziptrak® components supplied to trade customers, including distributors, fabricators, and retailers.

WARRANTY FOR ZIPTRAK® COMPONENTS

Ziptrak Pty Ltd (hereafter referred to as “The Company”) warrants that all Ziptrak® components supplied are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal and proper use for a period of five (5) years from the date of the original invoice.

As of 1st September 2024, Ziptrak® has extended its warranty from two (2) years to five (5) years.

Nothing in this Warranty affects any rights that a Consumer may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and the Ziptrak Warranty sits alongside the ACL, which cannot be excluded. For trade customers,  to the maximum extent permitted by law, all other express or implied warranties or guarantees outside of this Warranty are expressly excluded.

OBLIGATIONS

The Company’s sole obligation under this Warranty is to replace defective components that do not conform to this Warranty with minimal delay. This Warranty does not cover any claims for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

The components that are replaced pursuant to the terms of this warranty shall be retained by The Company.

All costs related to the installation and re-installation of the Ziptrak® components covered by this warranty is not the responsibility of The Company. The Company will not be responsible for any consequential damages during or following fabrication and or installation procedures.

The maximum liability of Ziptrak® under this Warranty is limited to the original purchase price of the defective component.

If the buyer resells any Ziptrak® products to another buyer or end user, it shall include all the provisions of this warranty in such resale. The Company’s responsibility to any such third party shall be no greater than The Company’s responsibility under the warranty of the original buyer.

EXCLUSIONS

The following are exclusions from this warranty:

  1. If Ziptrak® written specifications are not properly applied to the consumer / buyer when selecting the components,
  1. If usage, adaptation or installation is not in accordance with Ziptrak’s Installation and Operation instructions,
  2. Fair and reasonable wear and tear,
  3. Deterioration of finished surfaces due to a lack of maintenance in areas subject to prolonged exposure to ocean salt spray, other corrosive environments or hazardous industrial processes,
  4. If the product has been dismantled or damage resulting from accidents or the negligence of the Customer or any third party,
  5. Any component added to the Product that was not supplied by Ziptrak® including motorisation componentry or any damage to the Product caused thereby and,
  6. Labour, access, third party or electrical costs borne by the Customer to complete repairs, maintenance or replacement of components that make up the Product supplied by Ziptrak®.

Professional Installation:

Installation of Ziptrak® blinds require professional installation to ensure a robust and easy to use system and to comply with Ziptrak® Warranty requirements.
